For schools

Foundation Phase remedial partnership.

Wild About Learning partners directly with Ballito schools to provide remedial, intervention, and learner-support services to children inside the school day. Chelsi works alongside HoDs, classroom teachers and support specialists — one teacher, one room, one routine, with progress notes flowing back to school and parents in parallel.

How partnership works

A freelance learner-support service, inside your school.

Identify

Classroom teachers and HoDs flag learners who need more than the classroom can give. Chelsi reviews the referral with the school's support specialist.

Screen

A 90-minute structured screening, run on site. Chelsi returns a written intervention plan to the school and to the parents in parallel — not a diagnosis, a plain-language map.

Teach

Weekly remedial sessions with identified learners, run inside the school day in rooms the school provides. One-to-one or small group, depending on the child.

Report

Termly progress notes to the school and to the family. A single line of communication keeps everyone — HoD, classroom teacher, parent — on the same page.

For Foundation Phase schools without a dedicated remedial teacher on staff, Wild About Learning provides one — for the children who need it, on the days they need it.

Schools handle scheduling and parent introductions. Wild About Learning handles the remedial teaching, the screening, the planning, and the parent communication. Billing can be parent-paid or school-paid depending on the partnership shape.

— 03 / What we offer schools

Four shapes of partnership.

On-site one-to-one & small group

Weekly remedial sessions with identified learners, run inside the school day. Same teacher, same room, same routine — the children come to expect it.

Educational screening

Structured 90-minute screening sessions for learners flagged by classroom teachers. A customised intervention plan is returned to the school and to the parents.

Bridging programmes

Four-to-six-week focused arcs to close a single specific skill gap — phonological awareness, number bonds, working memory, written-output stamina.

HoD & teacher consultation

Working alongside Heads of Foundation Phase, classroom teachers and existing support specialists. The school's voice leads; Wild About Learning fills the gap that's been identified.

— 04 / The longer arc

Toward a centre. Under one roof.

The freelance-partnership model is the start. The longer-arc plan is a dedicated learner-support centre on the KZN North Coast.

The vision is to become Ballito's leading holistic learner-support centre — where remedial teaching, educational screening, occupational therapy, and speech therapy sit together under one roof.

Schools partnering with Wild About Learning today are partnering with the practice as it grows into the centre. Foundational partnerships shape what the centre eventually offers.
