How we work together.
Four ways to work with Wild About Learning. Pricing is public. Everything starts with a free 20-minute call.
One-to-one sessions
A full hour of dedicated teaching, just your child and me. This is the core of what Wild About Learning does. Weekly sessions work best — consistency is how foundational skills settle.
Best for: Foundation Phase learners (Grade R–3) who need targeted support in reading, writing, spelling, or numeracy.
What's included: A structured plan tailored to your child's screening results, multisensory teaching materials in every session, termly progress reviews with you, and ongoing contact between sessions when something needs flagging.
Small group sessions (2–4 learners)
Focused group sessions for children who benefit from learning alongside a peer. Groups are carefully matched by age and skill profile — not by who signs up first.
Best for: Learners who've outgrown one-to-one and need the social scaffolding of a tiny cohort, or siblings working on related skills.
Learning screening + written plan
An informal screening across reading (decoding, fluency, comprehension), writing (letter formation, spelling, sentence construction), and numeracy (number sense, place value, operations). Where useful, I'll also do a classroom observation with your child's teacher's permission.
What you receive: A written learning plan describing where your child is, what's working, what needs attention, and what we'll focus on first. Plain-language — no jargon.
Note: this is a learning screening, not a diagnostic psycho-educational assessment. If formal diagnosis is needed, I'll refer you to a trusted educational psychologist on the North Coast.
Homeschooling support
Structured Foundation Phase support for homeschool families who want professional input alongside their own teaching. Lesson planning, weekly sessions, termly reviews — built around your curriculum choice.
School partnerships
Open to working with schools on the North Coast to support individual learners or small remedial groups on-site. Enquire via the contact page for bespoke arrangements.
Every family starts the same way.
